Symptom |

After upgrading to Vista, or installing HerdMaster on a Vista machine, HerdMaster won't start or runs erattically or with errors. The same applies to a machine with MS Office 2007 installed. |

A new version of HerdMaster is being developed which is compatible with Vista and Office 2007. The expected release date is July 2008. |

Background |
| |
MS Vista has introduced a number of problems for many existing programs, HerdMaster included. HerdMaster uses the MS Access database engine which is installed automatically when you install HerdMaster. Office 2007 also deploys the same engine (but a later version) and by default blocks access to earlier versions of the engine by other programs. |
