When I try to send an email from HerdMaster it either fails or I get a 'runtime' error               Symptom          When attempting to send a report (e.g. a Sales Profile) by email from within HerdMaster, the operation either fails or a 'runtime' error occurs.       Fix/Resolution          There are three possible causes for this, work through each in turn.             1. Your version of Microsoft Internet Explorer is out of date. How do I check?         Fix: Install Internet Explorer version 5 or later. How?     2. Your version of Microsoft Access Runtime is out of date. How do I check?         Fix: Install Microsoft Access 2000 SR-1 Runtime or later. How?     3. Your default Email program is not fully MAPI compliant         Fix: Change your default e-mail program to Outlook Express, Eudora, or similar. How?             Background          1. HerdMaster requires Internet Explorer version 5 or later in order to operate correctly.   2. HerdMaster requires 'Microsoft Access 2000 SR-1 Runtime' or later in order to operate correctly.   3. In order to send e-mails from within HerdMaster your e-mail program must be fully MAPI (Mail Application Programming Interface) compliant. Most common email programs (e.g. Outlook Express, Eudora, Lotus Notes) are MAPI compliant - though you should check that you have the latest version of the program.
