I've
re-installed HerdMaster on a new computer and now I get errors
on startup, or
I've
replaced my data file with a copy from a CDROM and now I get
errors on startup, or
When
I attempt to enter a new alpaca, or find an alpaca the page
is blank. |

Symptom |

On
start-up HerdMaster produces various errors, when attempting
to enter new data I get a blank page or a 'runtime' error occurs. |

Fix/Resolution |
| |
Remove
the 'Read Only' protection on your data file. |

Close
HerdMaster |

In
Windws Explorer navigate to your data file. How?. |
| |

3. |
Right-click
the file 'HmA3Data.mdb' and select Properties |
| |
|
4. |
Clear
the 'Read Only' tick box |
| |

5. |
Select
'Apply', select 'OK' |
| |

Background |
| |
During
copy operations - particularly if using CDROM - it is common
for a 'Read Only' protection to be applied to copied files.
If this protection is not subsequently removed the file cannot
be used by HerdMaster. |
